Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney is on-track to complete a clean-sweep of the Darwin Triple Crown after securing pole for Race 19.
Although the conditions were hotter than the earlier practice session, Feeney went faster in the Top 10 Shootout at a 1m 06.068s to beat the previous benchmark of Erebus Motorpsort’s Jack Le Brocq by 0.245s.
Le Brocq will be keen to break Erebus Motorsport’s podium duck and elevate it hip the Teams’ Championships where it sits last.
Pressure will come from the second row consisting of Dewalt racing’s Anton De Pasquale and the Mobil 1 Truck Assist Racing’s Ryan Wood.
Rookie Kai Allen lines up fifth in the lead Penrite Racing Mustang alongside teammate Matt Payne, while Cam Hill moved up one position in the Supaglass Racing Camaro to be seventh to share row four with Macauley Jones for Pizza Hut Racing.
Mobil 1 Optus Racing’s Chaz Mostert was first out in the Top 10 Shootout and lines up ninth alongside Andre Heimgartner for R&J Batteries Racing.
Will Brown like qualifying for the previous races missed the top 10 in 11th alongside other contenders including Brodie Kostecki, Will Davison, Cam Waters from 16th, Thomas Randle, Nick Percat, David Reynolds and Richie Stanaway.
Race 19 of the Repco Supercars Championship at Hidden Valley Raceway is due to commence at 2:40pm ACST or 3:10pm AEST.
