Jack Le Brocq joins Matt Stone Racing

One of the silly season’s worst kept secrets has been confirmed after Matt Stone Racing announced Jack Le Brocq as its first signing for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.

Following Cam Hill’s move to drive one of Brad Jones Racing’s Toyota Supras and the announcement of Nick Percat’s full-time retirement, Matt Stone Racing’s pair of seats have been much source of speculation.

Le Brocq had been heavily linked to a Matt Stone Racing return for more than half the season after departing then squad for Erebus Motorsport at the end of 2023.

Although Le Brocq has remained winless in his two seasons at Erebus Motorsport, he did score Matt Stone Racing’s maiden Supercars victory at Darwin in 2023.

Le Brocq will enter his ninth Repco Supercars Championship season in 2026 and is eager to re-ignite his successful relationship with Matt Stone Racing.

“It feels great to be coming back to MSR,” said Le Brocq.

“We achieved something really special together in 2023, and I’ve always had a lot of respect for the team and what they’ve built.

“The progress they’ve made since then has been impressive, and I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel and see what we can achieve in 2026.”

Team owner Matt Stone is excited to welcome Le Brocq back to the fold in 2026.

“Jack played a key role in putting Matt Stone Racing on the map with that incredible win in Darwin,” said Stone.

“He’s a proven race winner, and he knows our team, our culture, and what we stand for. We’re really excited to welcome him back as we continue pushing towards the front of the grid.”

It marks another move in the silly season following PremiAir Racing’s recruitment of Declan Fraser and Jayden Ojeda earlier this week.

Le Brocq’s seat at Erebus Motorsport is expected to be taken by impressive rookie Jobe Stewart, while SCT Motorsport, the second Matt Stone Racing Camaro and Team Blanchard Racing have still to confirm drivers.
