Mark Winterbottom to take on commentary role in Perth

Recently retired Mark Winterbottom will feature as part of the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super440 television coverage in a special comments role in pit lane and the commentary box.

Set to feature as part of the commentary team in various sessions across the event, Winterbottom has transitioned from a full-time driver at Team 18 to a mentor at Tickford Autosport ahead of a co-drive alongside Cam Waters at The Bend and Bathurst.

“Fans love Frosty, and we’re excited to have him on the broadcast for Perth,” said Supercars TV boss Nathan Prendergast.

“Having someone of his experience and respect contributing will be great for fans as the season approaches the halfway mark.

“Frosty is honest, articulate and knows exactly what’s going on, and he’ll be a wonderful asset.”

The coverage starts on Friday at 1:45pm AEST, then at 10:30am AEST on Saturday and 10:45am AEST Sunday on Fox Sports with streaming through Kayo.

Live times through 7mate/7plus are still to be confirmed.

Sky Sports in New Zealand will broadcast from Friday on 3:45pm NZST, Saturday at 12:30pm NZST Saturday and 12:45pm NZST on Sunday.
