Coca-Cola enter Gen3 era with Erebus

The sight of Coca-Cola on the Repco Supercars Championship will not be lost as the famous beverage brand confirmed its link up with Erebus Motorsport for the next two seasons.

Entering the new Gen3 era, Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus replaces former naming rights partner Boost Mobile after it had a long association with the squad, particularly with driver Brodie Kostecki.

Coca-Cola moves across from supporting Chris Pither since he re-entered the championship in 2020 at Team Sydney, before transferring across when the operation changed ownership to become PremiAir Racing at the start of this season.

Before this, Coca-Cola has held a long history supporting Australian motorsport including Allan Moffat in the late-1960s and early-1970s, Wayne Gardner in the 1990s and the factory BMW squad of the Super Touring era.

For Kostecki, the support of Coca-Cola is a dream come true after witnessing its success in the US.

“I grew up a little bit watching NASCAR and Coke was really predominant in that series,” Kostecki said.

“It’s like a boyhood dream to have two Coke team cars as part of Erebus.

“To have two fast red Camaros is going to be pretty awesome.

“I’m very excited for next year.”

Teammate Will Brown is excited to represent such a brand in the Repco Supercars Championship.

“The cars already look amazing, so I’m sure the livery is going to be something to look out for, that’s for sure,” Brown said.

“It’s a little bit surreal, getting into Supercars is like a pinch yourself moment and now having a sponsor of this calibre is just awesome.”

Erebus Motorsport Managing Director Shannen Kiely was delighted to announce the expanded partnership.

“We are so excited to welcome Coca-Cola as our naming rights partner next year,” Kiely said.

“We have enjoyed a close partnership with CCEP [Coca-Cola Europacific Partners] for a number of years and we are looking forward to this next chapter as we move into an exciting time in the sport.”

The liveries for the two Coca-Cola racing by Erebus Chevrolet Camaros will be revealed before testing begins early next year.
