Repco D1NZ ready to light up Hampton Downs

The second round of Repco D1NZ will take place at Hampton Downs and combines with the Super Sprint MotorSport New Zealand Championship for what will be an action packed event.

Not only does Repco D1NZ make a return to Hampton Downs, but it will run the club circuit in reverse promising a thrilling battle for victory in what will be a new challenge to every competitor. Can you teach an old dog new tricks or will the Repco D1NZ newbies rise to the fore?

Repco D1NZ will run on its own exclusive circuit providing non-stop action as the Super Sprint runs another section starting from 9am both days. Friday consists of practice and qualifying ahead of Saturday’s main competition battle day for both Repco D1NZ classes.

There has been a calendar shuffle by organisers due to the second round at STP Kohatu being postponed to open the 2024/25 season in November and Manfeild will host an extra day of competition to ensure a five round Repco D1NZ Series. Just like at Hampton Park, the added event at Manfeild will run the circuit in reverse direction and provides a new element for the double-header.

Following the opening round of the 2024 season, young gin Kase Pullen-Bury leads the standings after defeating Dave Steedman in an intense battle.

In Pro-Sport, Keisuke Nagashima won at Taupo in his Toyota defeating Adam Whitehead in what was again a very close battle.

Make sure to get to Hampton Downs on March 15-16.
