Backing up his pace from yesterday, TRADIE Beer Racing’s David Reynolds went one better by pacing the second Repco Supercars Championship session at the VAILO Adelaide 500.
In a rather uneventful session, Reynolds led the way on a 1m 19.480s to head Monster Energy Racing’s Cam Waters by just 0.084s.
Ford’s two stars in the form of Waters and Chaz Mostert for Mobil 1 Optus Racing highlighted the Ford Mustang’s competitiveness by filling out the top three as Ryan Wood emphasised Walkinshaw Andretti United’s pace by following his teammate in fourth.
Championship leader Will Brown was fifth in the lead Red Bull Ampol Racing ahead of Erebus Motorsport’s Brodie Kostecki and Broc Feeney.
Andre Heimgartner was next in the R&J Batteries Racing Chevrolet Camaro leaving Penrite Racing’s Matt Payne and the SP Tools Racing entry of Cam Hill completed the top 10.
Solo debutant Cooper Murray was 17th in the Erebus Motorsport Camaro vacated by Jack Le Brocq due to the birth of his first child.
Qualifying for the opening race is at 5:30pm local time, with the first 10 making tomorrow’s shootout.
