Broc Feeney wins at the Supercars Gala Awards

Despite missing out on the Repco Supercars Championship title on the streets of Adelaide, Broc Feeney left the annual Gala Awards with plenty of silverware.

Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Supercars Gala Awards celebrated the season that was where Walkinshaw Andretti United’s Chaz Mostert was officially handed the championship trophy.

However, Feeney swept the largest honours on the night by collecting the Repco Sprint Cup, Boost Mobile Pole Position Award and the Barry Sheene Medal, which for the first time was voted by fans through the bp Ultimate Performer courtesy of 2338-points.

Also going the way of Feeney was the Jim Richards Award, which was inaugurated last year based on votes from select members of Supercars and Motorsport Australia competition personnel using a 3-2-1 formula based on the AFL’s Brownlow Medal.

Awards also presented during the evening included Matt Payne and Garth Tander collecting the Peter Brock Trophy following their Repco Bathurst 1000 victory.

Payne also secured the Ryco Enduro Cup prize.

Red Bull Ampol Racing was crowned the Repco Supercars Teams’ Champion, while Triple Eight crew member Kris ‘Gooey’ Goos was given the Campbell Little Award for outstanding teamwork in pit lane.

Tickford Autosport dominated the Super2 prizes courtesy of Rylan Gray’s title win, Lochie Dalton received the Pole Position Award and the operation took the Teams’ Championship.

Best Event was awarded to the bp Adelaide Grand Final and Top Volunteer Group went to those working at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Finally, Chevrolet took out the Manufacturers’ Championship where competition will increase in 2026 as Toyota joins the series.

Next year’s Repco Supercars Championship begins at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20-22.
