Walkinshaw TWG Racing will welcome New Zealand businessman Scott O’Donnell and ODFI Ltd to its ownership structure.
O’Donnell joins as Director and ODFI Ltd has purchased shares in the Toyota homologation team, although the identity or the name of the squad will remain unchanged.
The entry of O’Donnell and ODFI Ltd comes after Zak Brown alongside his United Autosports team moved away from ownership structure in late 2025.
Due to McLaren’s expansion into the World Endurance Championship, Brown and United Autosports sold its stake leading to the team title changing to Walkinshaw TWG Racing.
TWG Motorsports itself has undergone an ownership change after Mark Walter purchased the Andretti Global organisation in 2023, leaving fellow co-owner Dan Towriss in charge.
O’Donnell is vastly experienced in business and motorsport as a supporter of Ryan Wood. O’Donnell is a Director of the HW Richardson Group, which owns 46 companies including Allied Petroleum – distributor of Mobil 1 Lubricants in New Zealand.
Although supporting the likes of Wood and Formula 3 racer Louis Sharp, O’Donnell was recently appointed trustee of the Motorsport New Zealand Scholarship Trust.
It comes as the ITM NZ Doubleheader rounds are up next for the Repco Supercars Championship.
