The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour celebrates a decade since it became a fixture of the Easter long weekend in 2016.
Filling a gap in the market left by the Bathurst 12 Hour when production cars were transitioned out of the event due to the addition of GT3 entries in 2011, the Easter event continues to break entry records year-on-year.
More than 70 entries have taken on the Mountain for more than half its history and has enabled grassroots drivers to fulfil a dream of racing at Bathurst.
BMW has dominated the event and remains undefeated in all additions starting with the 335i Coupe to the BMW M2 Competition, but many challenges have come close to dominating the Munich rockets.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Xs did the attacking in the first edition, but Nathan Morcom and Chaz Mostert won in the tried and true BMW 335i.
The reigning champions moved to a new Ford Focus RS, but narrowly lost the crown to the BMW M135i of Luke Searle and Paul Morris.

Brothers Iain and Grant Sherrin took the win in their BMW M4 starting a domination for the model in addition to the sister M3 four-door variant.
Next up was BMW loyalist Beric Lynton and Tim Leahey in their M3, but the field was getting increasingly tougher as proven by the last generation HSV VF Clubsport R8 scored a podium.
Skipping a year due to the global pandemic didn’t stymie the growth of the event, with star drivers starting to contest the race.
Shane Van Gisbergen won the race alongside Shane Smollen and Rob Rubis in an M4. Supercars influence also came from David Russell, Tom Slade, Brodie Kostecki, Steve Ellery, Cameron McLean, Craig Baird, John Bowe, Grant Denyer and Broc Feeney.
Stature of the event continued to rise when Cameron Hill and Tom Sargent went from last to first in a new BMW M2 to defeat Tim Slade and Nick Percat in the process.
Since then, Jayden Ojeda has scored back-to-back wins in fields containing the likes of Will Davison, Thomas Randle, Steve Owen, Tyler Everingham, Jaclyn Robotham and Tabitha Ambrose.
New models continue to appear including the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Lexus RC F, Hyundai i30N Sedan, Volkswagen Golf R Gen 8 and Polo GTi.
This year brings an exciting new addition to the grid in the Kia Stinger.
