Aaron Cameron to make solo Supercars debut

Aaron Cameron will make his solo Repco Supercars Championship debut at Albert Park with the Blanchard Racing Team.

It was confirmed yesterday, the squad’s second-year driver Aaron Love has split with the team after just one round of the 2025 season in a statement released on March 10.

“At the request of Aaron Love, Blanchard Racing Team and Aaron Love have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately,” read a brief statement through social channels of team and driver.

Cameron was part of the Blanchard Racing Team’s endurance line-up last year and impressed in the role. He was runner up in last season’s Dunlop Super2 Series at Kelly Racing, taking two wins and is vastly experienced having been a race winner in TCR.

Cameron capped off a breakout 2024 season by winning the prestigious Mike Kable Young Gun Award at the Supercars Gala.

“I can’t wait for my solo Supercars start this weekend, it was a bit unexpected to get the call up but I am ready to get into it,” said Cameron.

“I know the team well from last year, I drove the car at the pre-season test and have worked with my Race Engineer Daniel Veronese in Super 2 last year, so feel as prepared as I can in a situation like this.”

Team co-principal Tim Blanchard is excited to give Cameron a chance supporting the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix.

“Aaron did a fantastic job for BRT last year and we are looking forward to continuing the relationship this year from the AGP onwards,” Blanchard said.

The Repco Supercars Championship will contest four across the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix on March 13-16.
