Broc Feeney on pole for Sydney finale

Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney has opened his Boost Pole Award account in 2026 after setting the pace in the Top 10 Shootout.

Feeney kicked off the Top 10 Shootout after knocking out Shell V-Power Racing Team driver Brodie Kostecki during the closing stages of qualifying.

Setting the pace on a 1m 29.679s, Feeney’s lap survived the efforts of the other nine drivers to take his pole for the season.

Kai Allen fell 0.004s short to share the front-row in the Penrite Racing Mustang, while Anton De Pasquale will aim to replicate his victory last night from third for Dewalt Racing.

Alongside De Pasquale is Blanchard Racing Team driver James Golding, with the third row featuring Feeney’s teammate Will Brown and the fastest driver in qualifying, Matt Payne.

Liqui Moly Blahst Racing’s Aaron Cameron continues his impressive weekend to be seventh alongside rookie Zach Bates in the Bendix Racing Camaro.

Thomas Randle was the sole Monster Castrol Racing Mustang to appear in the shootout in ninth to leave Jack Le Brocq in 10th for Sherrin Rentals Racing.

Kostecki was joined by David Reynolds, Declan Fraser, Jackson Walls, Rylan Gray, Chaz Mostert, Andre Heimgartner and Ryan Wood in being eliminated after the second phase of qualifying.

Cam Waters highlighted those failing to escape the opening segment of qualifying joined by Jayden Ojeda, Jobe Stewart, Cooper Murray, Cam Hill and Macauley Jones.

The final race at the Dunlop Sydney 500 is scheduled to begin at 4:05pm AEDT.
