Brock’s magic glove returns in Repco’s all-new Bathurst television commercial

Repco has brought the big guns to our television screens for its fourth pre-Bathurst 1000 television campaign, starting today.

The new commercial is set at the top of the mountain, and for the second year in a row, Peter Brock’s iconic magic glove makes a return.

This time, it’s set inside the ‘Temple of Bathurst’ where racing fans and motorsport identities witness objects that are transformed and the glove truly ‘Brings the Bathurst.’

The commercial features a plethora of Supercars talent, from legends and commentators Neil Crompton, Greg Murphy and Riana Crehan, to Shell V-Power Racing Team drivers Will Davison and Anton De Pasquale.

Other notable cameos in the commercial include Castrol Racing’s Thomas Randle, the 4WD 24/7 duo Shauno and Jesse, plus Gary Reid from Showtime.

The full length commercial can be viewed now on YouTube and will feature on major free-to-air television stations in Australia and New Zealand from today until the 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000 next month.

The commercial is the brainchild of Repco’s trusted creative partner Thinkerbell.

Repco is proud to be the naming-rights partner of the world-famous Bathurst 1000, which will be held at Mount Panorama, NSW, on October 10-13.

Mitch Wiley

Executive General Manager – Marketing, GPC Asia Pacific

“The team at Repco is really proud of this year’s ‘Bringin’ the Bathurst’ campaign,” said Wiley.

“Last year’s ad really resonated with fans, so it made complete sense for us to continue the journey of Brocky’s magic glove.

“I want to thank the team at Thinkerbell and the hard working Repco marketing team for pushing the limits again with this year’s ad. I am sure the fans will love it and we can’t wait for the 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000.”
