Supercars race winning driver Cam Hill will make the switch to Brad Jones Racing in one of the squad’s new Toyota Supras for the 2026 season.
Hill leaves Matt Stone Racing after debuting with the Queensland-based team in 2023 and winning his first race earlier this season at the Australian Grand Prix support event.
The Canberra-based driver leaves MSR after scoring 23rd in his rookie season and 12th last year. Currently, Hill remains in contention for the Supercars Finals heading to Bathurst in 13th, but this has followed a mid-season blip in results.
Hill renews a relationship with Toyota stemming back nearly a decade when he entered the 86 Racing Series and became a regular frontrunner during those early seasons.
Excited to make the move, Hill is determined his progression at BJR.
“I’m really excited to be joining Brad Jones Racing in 2026 and beyond,” Hill said.
“A big part of joining BJR is its new association with Toyota. It’s a manufacturer that doesn’t do things by halves and has enjoyed great success globally.
“For me, there’s already some history with Toyota. I raced in the Toyota 86 Racing Series when it first started and won the very first race. This played a big part in my career trajectory.
“I also really like how Brad goes about his racing. He’s been doing it for a long time, starting as a driver himself, and you can see his race team is really mature in addition to being very professional.
“I really like the culture the team emits and I’m very keen to be a part of it. Ultimately, the goal is to win the championship and I’d really like us in a Toyota Supra to be part of that.
“I can’t be more thankful to Matt Stone and the whole MSR team for giving me my first opportunity. We’ve done a lot together and there’s been a heap of growth culminating in our first win this year.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time racing for MSR, but hopefully we can out and beat them on-track next year.”
Hill joins Andre Heimgartner and Macauley Jones to be confirmed at BJR, as team owner Brad Jones is thrilled to welcome him to the squad.
“I’m excited to welcome Cameron to the team for next year,” said Jones.
“He’s a proven talent in Supercars and brings a new perspective and experience to our driving group.
“Working through the process with Cameron and his team has been eye opening to the passion and determination they have, and has made me certain he’s a good fit for BJR.
“We’re working through our plans for 2026, obviously we have some big changes on the cards so stay tuned.”
This marks the first official announcement in what is expected to be a frantic silly season.
Hill’s announcement comes at the expense of Bryce Fullwood, with his 2026 plans unknown.
It appears to be all change at MSR as Jack Le Brocq is expected to make a return to the team and Nick Percat is predicted to depart.
Jobe Stewart is tipped to replace Le Brocq at Erebus Motorsport.
PremiAir Racing is due to have a new line-up, with Jayden Ojeda and Declan Fraser set to replace Blanchard Racing Team-bound James Golding, while Richie Stanaway’s plans are unknown.
