Cash Converters Supercars ESeries begins tonight

Although the Repco Supercars Championship is in the middle of a three week break between rounds, virtually it will be back on track when the Cash Converters ESeries kicks off tonight.

Launched during the season hiatus due to the global pandemic in 2020, the Cash Converters Supercars ESeries has grown to include a Pro and All Stars Series racing at the same events in separate races.

The All Stars Series pits main game series Repco Supercars drivers alongside Super2 and leading contenders from the support classes.

Elite gamers will go at it for the Pro Series, with $26,000 up for grabs across the schedule.

Tonight’s opening round is at Winton where both series will contest 10 minute qualifying sessions and 17-lap races featuring compulsory pit stops to change four tyres using the iRacing simulation format.

Driving in the All Stars Series are main game contenders Brodie Kostecki (Erebus), Cameron Waters (Tickford) Andre Heimgartner (BJR), Macauley Jones (BJR), James Golding (Pioneer DJ), Jack Le Brocq (MSR selected events), Todd Hazelwood (MSR selected events) and Thomas Randle (Tickford) going up against some young stars.

Headlining this is third-generation racer and recent Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 Racing Series race winner in Townsville Clay Richards, while National Sports Sedan racer Jordan Caruso returns after being a frontrunner last year.

Cash Converter Racing’s Justin Ruggier previously raced Super2 and is an experienced online racer.

Super2 drivers Jayden Ojeda, Cameron Crick, Thomas Maxwell, Zak Best, Matt McLean, Super3’s Brad Vaughn, plus Porsche racers Jackson Walls, Cooper Murray, internet sensation Jordan Cox, Repco’s Sam Brabham and V8 Superutes frontrunner Aaron Borg will be sure to take it up to the Repco Supercars contenders.

Virtual racing stars led by last year’s winner Walkinshaw Andretti United’s Dayne Warren, Pioneer DJ representative Emily Jones, Brady Meyers and Jarrad Filsell lead the way for the Pro title.

Former Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 Racing Series competitor Jake Burton leads BJR’s assault alongside Madison Down and Jackson Souslin-Hallow, while Team18 has Oracle Red Bull Esports member Cooper Webster.

MSR is represented by Andrew Gilliam, Shannons Luke Rosella and Brenton Hobson will drive the Cash Converters Mustang.

Tonight’s round at Winton is followed by a Sandown enduro, then the Fan’s Choice is next ahead of Phillip Island.

The penultimate round is another enduro, this time at Mount Panorama before the finale is at Oran Park, with all events running every Wednesday for six weeks until August 24.

Live coverage will be broadcast on Fox Sports 506, Kayo, as well as through Supercars social media channels hosted by Chad Neylon, Garth Tander and pit reporter, Esports expert Johnathon Simon starting at 7:30pm.
