Chaz Mostert has snapped the Chevrolet stranglehold on the top of the timesheets to set the pace in the final Repco Supercars Championship practice session at The Bend.
The session provided a final systems check for teams ahead of Qualifying, with driver changes and topping up fuel allowed during the 40-minute session.
A 1m 16.588s did the job for Mostert in the Mobil 1 Optus Racing Toyota GR Supra ahead of the Penrite Racing Ford Mustang of Matt Payne.
Rounding out the top three was the Matt Stone Racing Chevrolet Camaro of Jack Le Brocq to ensure all manufacturers were represented at the pointy end.
Monster Castrol Racing teammates Cam Waters and Thomas Randle were up next followed by Jackson Walls in the Objective Racing Mustang.
Kai Allen was up next in the second Penrite Racing entry from Mobil 1 Truck Assist Racing’s Ryan Wood, Broc Feeney for Red Bull Ampol Racing and the Bendix Racing Chevrolet of Zach Bates completed the top 10.
Anton De Pasquale managed to score 11th despite persistent mechanical problems.
Behind, teammate David Reynolds was right there from Jayden Ojeda, Declan Fraser and Andre Heimgartner.
Will Brown was further back in 17th and Brodie Kostecki was unhappy with the Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustang to end the session 26th.
Qualifying is up next at 3:30pm ACST/4:00pm AEST before the Top 10 Shootout follows at 5:00pm ACST/5:30pm AEST.
