Chaz Mostert leads the way heading into Qualifying

The Mobil 1 Optus Racing Ford Mustang of Chaz Mostert led the way in the final practice ahead of Qualifying for the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Although there are two practice sessions on Saturday, this provided the last opportunity for teams and drivers to be prepared for Qualifying.

Mostert set a 2m 04.659s to set the pace from Bendix Racing’s Nick Percat by just 0.075s.

Shell V-Power Racing Team’s Brodie Kostecki was third from James Golding in the lead PremiAir Racing Chevrolet Camaro and Cam Hill for Supaglass Racing rounded out the top five.

Cam Waters was sixth in the Monster Castrol Racing Mustang just 0.195s off the fastest time as TRADIE Energy’s David Reynolds, Kai Allen in the Penrite Racing Ford, Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney and the Triple Eight Race Engineering Wildcard of Craig Lowndes completed the top 10.

Those to just miss included Matt Payne, Anton De Pasquale, Will Brown, Aaron Cameron and Thomas Randle.

There were no major dramas in the session as the conditions continued to be perfect.
