The Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour is not far away and there is plenty of interest for the event locally and internationally as it comes back to the level the race was pre-pandemic.
First up, Ford takes on the race for the first time through a single Mustang GT3 entered by German squad Haupt Racing Team.
It’s an all-star Pro line-up to led by Supercars star Broc Feeney backed up by international factory guns Dennis Olsen and previous 12 Hour winner Chris Mies.
Ford’s highly anticipated appearance comes as Chevrolet also join the battle through Johor Motorsports Racing’s twin-Corvette GT3 entry.
The all-Pro Corvette will feature Alexander Sims, Nicky Catsburg and Earl Bamber, while team co-owners HH Prince Jefri Ibrahim, HH Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim, ben Green and Jordan Love will contest Pro-Am.
Both American manufacturers will be stiff competition for the established sportscar contenders in Mercedes-AMG, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Aston Martin and McLaren.
The Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour is due to be held on February 12-15.
