The Triple Eight Race Engineering Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 led the way in the final co-driver only session on Saturday at the Repco Bathurst 1000.
Cooper Murray set the fastest time in the closing stages as most teams completed race runs prior to the final practice session this afternoon.
Murray’s 2m 07.095s eclipsed James Moffat’s longstanding benchmark by 0.424s in the Monster Castrol Racing Mustang.
Jayden Ojeda rounded out the top three despite an off at Hell Corner to be 0.483s off the pace, with Jordan Boys in the Pizza Hut Racing Camaro and the Mobil 1 Truck Assist Racing Mustang of Fabian Coulthard completing the top five.
Scott Pye led the Red Bull Ampol Racing charge in sixth from Blanchard Racing Team’s Aaron Cameron, Mobil 1 Optus Racing’s Lee Holdsworth, the Erebus Motorsport Camaro of Todd Hazelwood and Garth Tander in the Penrite Racing Mustang rounded out the top 10.
The final Supercars practice session ahead of the Repco Bathurst 1000 will commence at 1:05pm AEDT.
