Recent 2024 Erebus Motorsport signee Cooper Murray will make an early debut for the team as he replaces Jack Le Brocq in Adelaide.
Le Brocq will not contest the remainder of the VAILO Adelaide 500 due to the impending birth of his first child.
Murray was already with Erebus Motorsport this weekend as an interested observer after forgoing his Super2 program at Eggleston Motorsport allowing Thomas Maxwell to step up into Gen2 machinery.
Impressing on occasion this year in Triple Eight Race Engineering’s Wildcard entry, Murray will receive his first taste of solo competition this weekend.
Already announced to replace reigning champion, Shell V-Power Racing Team-bound Brodie Kostecki, Murray gets an early debut in Adelaide.
Erebus Motorsport confirmed the change on social media:
“Cooper will be jumping behind the wheel of Car #9 for the rest of the weekend, with Jack heading home to Queensland early today to await the arrival of a mini JLB!”
Murray’s first session will be the second practice session of the weekend at 1:05pm ahead of qualifying at 5:30pm local time.
