Three-time Repco Supercars Championship winner Craig Lowndes will swap the commentary microphone for the steering wheel of an Arrows A10B Megatron in Adelaide.
Lowndes has been a consistent visitor to the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival for many years where his has driven a variety of different cars including many older Formula 1 entries.
Raced by Eddie Cheever during the 1988 Formula 1 season the Arrows A10B Megatron was designed by legendary technical director Ross Brawn, with the engine in fact a rebranded turbocharged BMW unit in the last year of those regulations.
Arrows scored fifth in the 1988 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship as Cheever finished a best of third at the Italian Grand Prix.
The addition of the A10B is just another attraction to the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival as some of the best local and international motoring heritage will be on display alongside legendary drivers in the perfect atmosphere.
Alongside ex-Formula 1 entries will be touring cars, sports cars, open-wheelers, exotic road cars and much more being displayed on the Victoria Park section of the Adelaide Street Circuit.
Off-track activations, villas, food and drink stands will display the best of what South Australia has to offer.
Make sure to make the trip to South Australia for the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival on March 16-17.
