David Brabham will drive one of the rare BT62 sports cars at the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.
Built in Adelaide, only a limited number were constructed between 2018 until 2024 under the Brabham Automotive banner using a 5.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing more than 700bhp at 7200rpm.
Brabham is highly decorated having raced in Formula 1 for two seasons, a winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2009 for Peugeot and the 1997 AMP Bathurst 1000 alongside brother Geoff.
The BT62 in 2022 set a record at Phillip Island and many other venues globally.
Sharing the driving duties with Brabham will be current Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas of Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, who will sample a variety of entries across the weekend including an ex-Larry Perkins Enzed Holden VK Commodore.
Bottas will drive the Brabham on Sunday for one session in what is sure to be a thrill to spectators.
A large list of Formula 1 personalities led by Bottas, commentator David Croft, Damon Hill and Liam Lawson will be in attendance at the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival on March 16-17.
Racing heritage will be on display at the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival representing various disciplines including Formula 1, Supercars, sports prototypes, touring cars and open-wheelers.
