It’s nearly here, the highly anticipated Repco Adelaide Motorsport festival is about to begin featuring an all-star cast of racing cars and bikes matched by a superb list of drivers attending the event.
Quickly becoming a bucket list event for any motoring enthusiast worldwide, the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will host many reunions and introduce drivers to a new range of cars ranging from Formula 1 to road-going exotics.
In the Formula 1 category, David Brabham will drive a chassis bearing his name from the 1992 season named the BT60B and will share the wheel alongside its original pilot Damon Hill.
Brabham will also steer a BT59, while Craig Lowndes and Tim Slade will share an Arrows A10B.
Thierry Boutsen adds to the names by driving a Benetton B190.
Lowndes will also feature in Hypercar class driving a Pagani Huayra R, with GT regular Fraser Ross also due to drive a Zonda R and Slade will be behind the wheel of a Brabham BT62.
Former Ferrari Formula 1 driver Stefan Johansson will be reunited with the Mazda 767B, while Bap Romano will pilot the Kaditcha K583 Cosworth and Slade again will be part of the Le Mans category in a Porsche 962C.
Reigning British Touring Car Champion Jake Hill will drive a Shadow MKI Mosport in the Can Am Class alongside Lowndes in a similar MKIII from the same manufacturer.
Nine NASCARs will be at the event and Slade is among the drivers in a Chevrolet Lumina in addition to Barry Graham in a Ford Fusion.
Touring Car Legends will include a Nissan HR31 GTS-R Skyline to be driven by Steven Richards, Andrew Miedecke and Elliott Barbour in Ford Sierra RS500s, with Roland Dane featured in a Jaguar XJ12.
Early Supercars are also included in this category and Greg Murphy will return to his Kmart Holden VT Commodore from 2000, while privateer Chris Smerdon is entered in a Ford AU Falcon.
TIPO F1 represents various open-wheelers including the Shadow DN6B for Hill, a Repco Tiga for Richards and Johansson in a Lola T140.
Formula 1 Grand Prix winner Valtteri Bottas headlines the Heritage Touring Car category in a Mercedes 190E and will take the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe in the Exotics section.
The 10 of The Best shootout consists of a Rodin, Brabham, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Ferrari, Holden and Ford.
The Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again occur on March 8-9.
