Erebus Motorsport has confirmed Jack Le Brocq will replace Will Brown at the squad for the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship season.
Following the announcement earlier today revealing his departure from Matt Stone Racing, Le Brocq will re-join the squad he raced for during his junior career in GTs and Super2.
This year has been impressive for Le Brocq after taking Matt Stone Racing’s maiden Repco Supercars Championship race victory and sitting eighth in the standings heading into the back half of the season.
Following his stint in GTs and Super2 racing with long-time Erebus affiliate Image Racing, Le Brocq was one of the squad’s endurance drivers in 2015.
Le Brocq replaces Brown after earlier this week he was confirmed to join Triple Eight as replacement to Shane van Gisbergen on a three-year deal.
Remaining at Erebus will be championship leader Brodie Kostecki, who is enjoying a breakout season and recently made his NASCAR Cup debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Erebus CEO Barry Ryan was excited to welcome Le Brocq back to the team.
“We have witnessed Jack’s journey and some of his achievements firsthand, and we’re thrilled to welcome him back to the family,” Ryan said.
“Obviously, we still have five rounds remaining this season, and right now our focus in on winning the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championship.”
Le Brocq was pleased to return to the team following nearly a decade away as it has developed into a frontrunning Supercars squad.
“Erebus is a team that has been instrumental in my career, and I am excited to re-join them next season,” he said.
“I look forward to contributing to Erebus’ ongoing success in 2024, though my immediate focus is on giving my all for the remainder of the 2023 season with my current team.”
