Despite a late parity change for the Chevrolet teams, Erebus Motorsport has led the way in the final co-driver session at The Bend 500.
Lochie Dalton got Saturday’s Repco Supercars Championship acton off to the perfect start for Erebus Motorsport by setting a 1m 17.414 to edge teammate Jarrod Hughes by 0.100s at the conclusion of the 40-minute session.
Mark Winterbottom set the third quickest time in the Monster Castrol Racing Ford Mustang from the Penrite Racing example of Will Davison and teammate Reuben Goodall.
The Team 18 Wildcard of Bayley Hall was sixth followed by Richie Stanaway in the Blanchard Racing Team Mustang, Lee Holdsworth driving the DEWALT Racing Camaro, the Shell V-Power Racing Team entry of Todd Hazelwood and rookie Campbell Logan in the Tickford Racing Wildcard completed the top 10.
Jaxon Evans led the Toyota charge in 11th for Mobil 1 Truck Assist Racing, while the Triple Eight Race Engineering entries were further back with Nick Percat 18th, Scott Pye 24th and Jack Perkins 26th in the Objective Racing Mustang.
Supercars took action overnight on the pressing parity problems concerning a pre-event update to the Chevrolet Camaro by reducing the rear wing angle by 0.3 degrees.
