A variety of improvements targeting a better experience for racing fans have been put in place for the 2024 Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.
Using feedback provided from previous attendees, new additions and further improvements have been unveiled by event organisers headlined by bar, food and drink stands being placed at The Chase alongside a big screen for fans to keep up with the action.
A further big screen will be placed on the outside of Hell Corner for fans in this area to view, while another is situated in the revised merchandise and food area at Harris Park alongside additional toilet facilities throughout the venue.
Shade structures will be constructed to shield fans on the viewing mounds along pit straight from the heat expected during the weekend, with these being joined by water misting zones at various points throughout the circuit to allow spectators to cool off.
Free water and drinking fountains will also be positioned throughout the spectator areas.
Pit and paddock access will remain free for all ticketholders as a revised rooftop bar will be accessible to patrons featuring plenty of improvements compared to previous years.
The popular Track to Town activation through the Bathurst city centre will host one of two full-field autograph sessions, the second will be prior to qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
As mentioned previously, plenty of off-track activations will be hosted in the city centre during the Bathurst SuperFest and others will be a fixture at Harris Park headlined by the Chemical Guys Rides & Coffee.
“We’ve taken note of what fans have been saying about how we can improve the event,” Event Director Shane Rudzis said.
“We get a lot of feedback in person, via email and via key internet forums and we take it all in, good and bad.
“The investment in improving amenities this year is proof we’re listening to the fans and putting back into the event as it continues to grow – and we will continue to do so.”
Make sure to get to the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour on February 16-18.
