GRID FOR REPCO BATHURST 1000 ALMOST COMPLETE

The Repco Bathurst 1000 is now under two months away, and only two places on the grid remain unconfirmed for this year’s Great Race.

Dick Johnson Racing was the most recent team to announce its line-up with stalwart Tony D’Alberto joining Anton De Pasquale, while Will Davison is once again partnered by older brother Alex for a fifth time at the Mountain.

Tickford Racing announced its line-up earlier this year, with James Moffat, Thomas Randle and Frenchman Alex Premat entered for Bathurst, however the driver pairings have not been revealed yet. It has been suggested that Moffat will team with Cameron Waters, Randle with James Courtney and 2019 Bathurst 1000 winner Premat with Jack Le Brocq.

Two returnees join Kelly Grove Racing in its final Repco Supercars Championship round in this guise. Kiwi Porsche ace Earl Bamber teams with Andre Heimgartner and David Reynolds reunites with his 2017 Bathurst 1000 winning co-driver Luke Youlden.

Joining Tim Slade in the Blanchard Racing Team Ford Mustang GT will be his boss Tim Blanchard

Forming a formidable partnership at Mount Panorama will be Walkinshaw Andretti United pairing Chaz Mostert and former Tickford Racing driver Lee Holdsworth as veteran Warren Luff joins Bryce Walkinshaw in the team’s second Commodore ZB.

Holdsworth’s 2020 co-driver Michael Caruso moves to Team 18 where he partners Mark Winterbottom, leaving James Golding to pair Scott Pye.

There’s been plenty of movement at Brad Jones Racing as experienced drivers fill all four slots.

Dale Wood pairs with team leader Nick Percat, Todd Hazelwood is joined by Dean Fiore as Chris Pither moves from Team Sydney to partner Macauley Jones and Ash Walsh returns to BJR alongside Jack Smith.

Team Sydney boss Jonathon Webb will don the driving overalls again to partner Fabian Coulthard and Dylan O’Keeffe joins Garry Jacobson.

Both Erebus Motorsport and reigning Bathurst winners Triple Eight will enter a third Wildcard entry.

Youth and experience are a feature of the Erebus Motorsport pairings. Jack Perkins joins the team to join Will Brown, while David Russell partners last year’s race revelation Brodie Kostecki.

In the Erebus Motorsport Wildcard, Greg Murphy and Richie Stanaway will race with Boost support.

Last but not least is Triple Eight. As reigning Bathurst champions Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander return to defend their title.

After announcing his full-time retirement earlier this year, Jamie Whincup will again be partnered by Craig Lowndes.

The man replacing Whincup at Triple Eight next year, Broc Feeney will partner Russell Ingall in a Wildcard Commodore.

The sole team yet to announce its line-up is Matt Stone Racing.
