How good would a modern day Ford Falcon XY GT-HO Phase III be?
Well, Premcar gave Falcon fans a taste of this back in 2019 when its team of ex-Ford Performance Vehicles engineers weaved magic on the final run of the FGX Falcon.
Although the Falcon ended production in 2016, there was still life in the platform left and Premcar went nuts.
The Holy Grail package equals major engine mods including a new intercooler, a new-design cast aluminium intake manifold, revised ECU calibration and significant cam timing changes producing 483kW and 753Nm of torque.
A twin-plate clutch sends the power to the rear-wheels through a stock drivetrain.
Shockworks contributed to the suspension monotube making coil-over dampers all-round.
At the time, the package cost $44,175 and a donor FPV/Falcon powered by the Miami engine was required.
And it was truly the Holy Grail.
