ITM Taupo Super400 selling out

Friday tickets for the ITM Taupo Super400 are still available after Supercars announced Saturday and Sunday is a sellout for its first visit to the venue.

Action at the ITM Taupo Super400 on Friday still features the Repco Supercars Championship in a historic opening practice session at the first new circuit on the calendar for nearly six years and a return to New Zealand after two seasons away.

Tickets for Friday begin at $30 and it provides the only opportunity to watch the Supercars at the ITM Taupo 400 due to General Admission in addition to grandstand tickets on both race days being exhausted.

“The uptake and interest in our first-ever event in Taupō has been incredible,” said Supercars COO Tim Watsford.

“And we can now confirm that we have sold out of grandstand and general admission tickets for both Saturday and Sunday of the event.

“There are still tickets available for Friday, which will be special in itself when Supercars hit the track in Taupō for the very first time. We will also hold a full-field signing session so fans can meet their favourite drivers, and all of our support categories will also be on-track in an action-packed and historic day.

“The response to this event has been overwhelming, and we are beyond excited to head across the ditch in a few short weeks for what will be a very special inaugural ITM Taupō Super400.”

The Repco Supercars Championship will be joined by the Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship, the NAPA Central Muscle Cars, the Toyota 86 Championship and the New Zealand Formula Ford Series.

Friday hosts sessions for each category and a full-field Repco Supercars Championship driver signing at 11:25am NZST at merchandise alley.

Five New Zealanders will be competing on home turf led by Grove Racing pair Richie Stanaway and Matt Payne, with Jaxon Evans, Andre Heimgartner and Ryan Wood bolstering the attack.

Tickets for Friday can be purchased through Supercars.com and Ticketek NZ, while coverage will be broadcast live on Sky Sport in New Zealand in addition to Fox Sports for Australian audiences. Streaming will be provided by Kayo, while highlights will be featured on the Seven Network and 7plus.
