Jaxon Evans to depart SCT Motorsport after 2025 season

SCT Motorsport will have a new driver at the helm for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship season after announcing it will split with Jaxon Evans following this season.

Evans has been part of SCT Motorsport for four seasons after first joining as a co-driver in 2022, then stepping up to be full-time at the beginning of the 2024 season.

This followed a stint in GT racing overseas after winning the Porsche Young Driver Shootout in 2019 leading to factory opportunities for the manufacturer in GT and one-make competitions worldwide.

“I’m extremely thankful to SCT Logistics and the Smith family for the opportunity to compete full-time in Supercars,” Evans said.

“The experiences and lessons learnt along the journey are ones I’ll continue to carry forward throughout my career”

Finishing a best of seventh at Symmons Plains earlier this season, Evans has endured a tough run since then including two did not starts at Darwin following a heavy opening lap incident in Race 17 at Hidden Valley.

This came in the middle of a five run streak of retirements for the New Zealander.

Currently sitting 22nd in the standings, Evans will be aiming to finish the season on a high beginning at the Repco Bathurst 1000 alongside Jack Smith.

“Jaxon has been an incredible contributor to this team during the past three and a half years, firstly as a co-driver and then now in the primary driver role,” reflected SCT Logistics, Head of Motorsport Andrew Jones.

“His ability and talent in a race car are world class and combined with the way he connects with people, he has played an instrumental role in the progress that SCT Motorsport has made during his time as part of the team.

“On behalf of everyone within our group, I’d like to express our gratitude to Jaxon. We hope to see him on the Supercars grid again and genuinely wish him all the best”
