Lochie Dalton has ended the opening day of the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 at the top of the timesheets following the completion of the first of two co-driver only sessions.
There were no interruptions in the hour-long session with Dalton setting a 2m 05.873s in the Erebus Motorsport Chevrolet Camaro to edge Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Scott Pye by 0.087s.
Rounding out the top three was Penrite Racing driver Tim Slade, who was pushing hard in the closing stages.
Snowy River Racing’s James Courtney was fourth ahead of stablemate Lee Holdsworth for DEWALT Racing, while Zak Best put the Blahst LIQUI MOLY Racing Ford Mustang in sixth.
Shell V-Power Racing Team was led by Tony D’Alberto in seventh from the second entry of Todd Hazelwood.
Jarrod Hughes bounced back from his opening practice off to place ninth ahead of the Blanchard Racing Team Mustang of Richie Stanaway.
Team 18 Wildcard Bayley Hall fell just short of the top 10 from David Russell, Nash Morris, Fabian Coulthard in the lead Toyota, Will Davison and Jordan Boys.
Nick Percat in the second Red Bull Ampol Racing Mustang was back in 22nd ahead of Jaxon Evans for Mobil 1 Truck Assist Racing.
The Repco Supercars Championship returns to action at 10:05am AEDT for the third practice session for all drivers.
