Matt Stone Racing will enter a Wildcard for the opening round of the Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Rumoured for the sometime, the program will be spearheaded by Cameron Crick following a top 10 result partnering Cameron Hill at Bathurst last year.
Crick will make his Repco Supercars Championship solo debut in front of his home crowd at Sydney Motorsport Park and will return for the endurance events beginning at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park before returning to Bathurst, with a co-driver to be announced.
“This is an absolute dream come true for me, I’m very excited to have my first solo race in Supercars with MSR,” said Crick.
“Since doing the enduros with them team last year I have built a very strong relationship with all of the crew and they have welcomed me with open arms.
“I have already learnt a lot from Nick and Cam and I plan to take those learnings into my home race at Sydney Motorsport Park.
“Very grateful to have Dormer HVAC Services as the main sponsor investing into this program.”
Long-time supporters of Crick, Dormer HVAC Services will be the naming rights partner for the first event in Sydney.
The Wildcard will be led by former Formula 1 team manager and current MSR team principal Peter Vale as the livery will be revealed alongside the squad’s two full-season Chevrolet Camaro ZL1s on February 11.
“This wildcard programme has been years in the making,” said team owner Matt Stone.
“Having Cricky spearhead the programme is great, he is a good ambassador for the team and fits in really well.
“It’s also great for him to further his driving career and get the opportunity to compete solo in the Supercars main game at Sydney.
“The Bend and Bathurst enduros are obviously a bit further away, so the plans for those will come together over the next few months.”
Naming rights for the two endurance events is to be confirmed.
The opening round of the Repco Supercars Championship is at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 21-23.
