Matt Stone Racing will complete a chassis swap for Nick Percat for the next round of the Repco Supercars Championship supporting the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix.
Percat enjoyed a return to form in 2024 by scoring two wins last year on the way to eighth in the championship in what proved a breakout year for Matt Stone Racing.
It was a less than ideal opening round for the squad at the Thrifty Sydney 500 to open the Repco Supercars Championship, with Percat finishing a best of 12th.
In response, Percat will switch from MSR-005 to MSR-004 due to an undiagnosed driver feel issue during the Sydney weekend.
The tight turnaround between events restricts the ability to complete a full solution, leaving Percat to switch to the team’s spare Camaro for Albert Park.
As a result, MSR-005 will be stripped to ensure the feel issues are rectified ahead of its return later in the season.
Percat returns to a happy hunting ground after scoring victory at Albert Park last year, which was the second in Supercars for Matt Stone Racing.
