The hilarious scene of a Ford loyalist keeping hold of his pants skipping through the sand trap to meet Radisich jumping out of his stricken Dick Johnson Racing Ford AU Falcon is one featured on highlights packages for years.
Back in 2001, it marked the third running of the traditional pre-Bathurst endurance race at Queensland Raceway and the weather proved treacherous.
Dick Johnson Racing was debuting a new AU Falcon with Radisich sharing the driving duties alongside Steve Johnson.
The race was hotly contested between the Dick Johnson Racing Falcon and Perkins Engineering Holden VX Commodore shared by Larry Perkins and Russell Ingall, with the battle coming right down to the closing stages.
A tropical storm hit the circuit with four laps to go and race leader Ingall ran wide to allow Radisich to snatch the lead before the pair headed into pit lane to change to wets.
Radisich remained in the lead until spearing off with two laps to go at Turn 1 leading to the Dick Johnson Racing Falcon being up to its axles in sand.
However, the red flag came out soon after and with the race result went back a lap to give the Radisich/Johnson combination the win.
The celebrations were very memorable due to that one fan and his loose pants to cap off an interesting day of action.
