Red Bull Ampol Racing complete pole sweep

Broc Feeney and Will brown have split the Boost Mobile Pole Positions following two chaotic qualifying sessions ahead of the final two Repco Supercars Championship races at Albert Park.

For this afternoon’s third race of the weekend, Feeney scored pole on a 1m 46.166s from surprise packet Aaron Cameron in the LIQUIMOLY Blahst Racing Mustang after falling just 0.062s from his maiden pole.

Brodie Kostecki completed another 1-2-3 for Ford in his Shell V-Power Racing Team Mustang, with reigning champion Chaz Mostert breaking the monopoly by placing the Mobil 1 Optus Racing Toyota GR Supra in fourth.

Blanchard Racing Team’s James Golding heads off the third row ahead of Brown as Penrite Racing’s Matt Payne, Cam Waters for Monster Castrol Racing, Matt Stone Racing driver Jack Le Brocq in the first Camaro ahead of the DEWALT Racing Chevrolet of Anton De Pasquale.

Yesterday’s podium winner Ryan Wood will start last in the Mobil 1 Truck Assist Racing Supra after initially a gearbox problem, then on his fast run he encountered a slow pack in the final sector.

This slow pack all failed to get a lap in after running out of time.

Brown returned to form by scoring pole for Sunday’s finale and will share the front-row with Monster Castrol Racing’s Thomas Randle.

Cameron and Kostecki share the second row from Payne, a recovering Wood, Golding, Le Brocq, Allen and Waters.

Feeney just missed out on the top 10, as did Mostert.

Race 3 of the weekend is due to begin after Formula 1 qualifying at 5:35pm AEDT.
