The Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival line-up is building ahead of the event on March 8-9.
It has been announced David Brabham will be making an appearance at the event getting back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 chassis he drove at the Adelaide Grand Prix in 1990.
The Brabham BT59 was driven to 25th in qualifying, but retired after the youngest son of three-time World Drivers’ Championship winner Sir Jack spun off on lap 25.
One of just two Australians to compete in the annual Formula 1 trip to Adelaide between 1985 and 1995, the BT59 will return to the city for the first time since 1990.
Also making an appearance is one of Peter Brock’s Mobil 1 Ford Sierras from the Group A era. Brock switched to Ford in 1989 using Rouse supplied components as he secured Bathurst pole in 1989 and 1990, in addition to victory in the New Zealand Nissan-Mobil 500 Series partnering with Andrew Miedecke.
Japanese Le Mans history will be well represented courtesy of a Nissan R88C and the return of the awesome Mazda 767B.
Rounding out the announcements so far is the return of the Benetton B190, which won the 1990 Australian Grand Prix.
Nelson Piquet rounded out the 1990 Formula 1 season with victories in Japan and Australia as he secured third in the standings.
Further additions to the line-up will be announced prior to the March 8-9 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.
