Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival to bring together eclectic racing models

More than 250 rare, exotic and fast vehicles will take place in demonstrations across the weekend at the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, while a further 350 will be on static display.

Ranging from Formula 1 entries from Benetton, Arrows, Leyton House (March), Larousse (Lola) and Brabham will paraded around the shortened Victoria Park Circuit bringing the sounds of the world’s top-tier motorsport back to Adelaide.

The PremiAir Hire Bathurst winners category honours those to have won the Great Race ranging from a Ford Cortina representing the origins of the event to the recently usurped Gen2 Supercars.

A mix of NASCARs including the NAPA Auto Parts example to be driven by third generation driver Jett Johnson will be joined by a Porsche 956 and Mazda 767B from Le Mans as the Invitational Class field also includes a Peugeot 406 Supertourer.

A big field of V8 Supercars ranging from the VS Commodore and EF Falcon to the previous Gen2 VF Commodore.

Open-wheelers are covered in the TIPO F1 class headlined by Liam Lawson driving a New Zealand-manufactured Rodin FZED.

Group A, Group C and Series Production is the domain of Heritage Touring Cars as the turbocharged brute force of the Ford Sierra is matched by the giant killing might of the Holden Torana LJ GTR XU-1.

A rare sight of road cars will be on display all weekend as part of the Ferrari Spettacolo featuring the FXX, 812 Speciale, LaFerrari, Testarossa, 250 LM599 FXX, F40 and Enzo.

Other marques including McLaren, Lamborghini, Porsche and Dodge will spearhead the GT category, as the Rally is predominantly represented by various eras of Toyota, but Group B specials from Ferrari, Lancia and Renault add to the spectacular field.

Wolf, Radical and Ultra showcase the best prototype sports cars as the likes of Chris Vermeulen, Malcolm Campbell, Robbie Phillis, Kevin Magee and Daryl Beattie will thrill the crowd on motorbikes

Drifting will also be a feature throughout the weekend.
