Although not a new concept in Australia, the Circuit Safari will make a return at a Repco supported event in March.
The Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival is set to host a Circuit Safari on March 15-17. This will be another unreal experience as an eclectic and historic mix of machinery spanning a variety of eras in addition to disciplines will grace part of the famous Adelaide Street Circuit in a celebration of all things horsepower.
Ex-Formula 1, Supercars, touring cars, road exotica, 500cc GP motorbikes, sports cars and much more make up the roster set to participate at the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival making this Circuit Safari another superb opportunity.
The Circuit Safari concept was born in Japan where the racing experience is completely different to anywhere else in the world. Parochial and passionate, fans enter a lottery for the chance to buy a ticket to sit in a buzz as race cars fly alongside.
Starting in Super GT, now most categories and even some visiting series such as the World Endurance Championship include this as part of the fan experience in Japan.
Of course, when Japanese manufacturer Nissan was in Supercars it introduced the Circuit Safari concept at Sandown in 2017. Two of its Kelly Racing Altimas were joined by a pair of HR31 GTS-Rs, a couple of GT-Rs including the 1991 Bathurst 1000 winner and Sandown 500 victor, while making an appearance was the R88C Le Mans racer.
Watch out for the Repco Circuit Safari in Adelaide events.
