Repco will partner with Garry Rogers Motorsport (GRM) for their emotional return to Mount Panorama at this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 race.
Team Valvoline GRM has unveiled their wildcard-entry Chevrolet Camaro Supercar with a retro livery dedicated to the team’s 2000 Bathurst 1000-winning #34 car, which was driven by Garth Tander and Jason Bargwanna in one of the Great Race’s most memorable underdog wins.
“Repco is proud to be joining Valvoline’s return to the number 34 car, celebrating Garry Rogers and the pivotal role he played in Supercars for more than 30 years,” said Mitchell Wiley, Executive General Manager of Marketing at Repco.
“Garry created career-making opportunities for so many young drivers, engineers and technicians in Australian motorsport. Our partnership with Valvoline brings the famous winning livery back to the track, a celebration of his legacy and his team’s Bathurst success 26 years ago.”
This year’s car, which will be raced by drivers Nathan Herne and James Moffat, proudly wears tribute colours that also honour Valvoline’s decades-long partnership with GRM, which began in 1990.
Garry Rogers’ eponymous team competed in Australia’s Supercars championship for more than 30 years. The Supercars Hall of Fame member and his popular team came to be known for their fighting spirit against the championship’s often larger factory-backed teams.
This year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 will be GRM’s first time back at the annual Great Race since 2020. The team’s Gen3 Camaro Supercar will hit the track for its pre-Bathurst test in September.
GRM’s famous Bathurst-winning Holden Commodore from 2000 will be on display at the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000, which takes place from 8 – 11 October.
