With Australia’s Great Race just a month away, Repco has begun its build up to the highly anticipated event by launching another of its famous ‘Bringin’ the Bathurst’ ad campaign.
In a high octane celebration of all good things Bathurst 1000 hosted once again by the energetic Gary Reid, the ad represents all fans young or old and also a cameo from Shell V-Power Racing Team’s Will Davison featuring a little nod to the squad’s founder Dick Johnson.
In the background are Repco’s various fan activation projects including the LS1 powered BMW E30 and the Chevy C10 burnout, of which Reid takes for a drive through a passionate neighbourhood of Bathurst fans.
There’s Bonnie doing donuts in here electric Ford Mustang ‘mini car’ as Reid then heads to Jim’s Bathurst barbeque where his son Brock and grandson Brock are enjoying the meal being cooked out of a VT Commodore with a grill enclosed.
The Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustang makes an appearance, with Davison powering away, just like he will next month at the fabled mountain.
Finally, Reid is on top of the Mountain where the most passionate fans are found and catches a lift on a tricycle with a Ford fan sporting an interesting haircut.
The ad campaign continues to highlight the various passions of Bathurst fans whether they are Holden or Ford, young or old, male of female, which encapsulates the customers walking into Repco stores across the nation every day.
