Gary Reid and his ShowTime team have done it again to create another beast for the Repco fleet.
And it’s something a bit different.
An extensively modified 1975 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser featuring a V8 shoehorned into it is set to be added to the fleet joining the Chevy C10, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, Ford Mustang and BMW E30 3-Series just to name a few.
Dubbed the ‘FJ33’, the modifications include KMC Wheels all round, a custom Stedi Light Bar, a custom front bar fitted with a Runva 13XP Winch and a re-worked interior featuring re-upholstered seats in addition to a GME antenna connected to a UHF system.
Discovered by Reid at Summernats, the ‘FJ33’ is a short wheelbase model fitted with a loud V8 was for sale and the opportunity was too good to knock back. Although a deposit had been taken from another suitor, this fell over enabling Reid to take it for a quick cruise and place it on the transporter to take back to ShowTime’s Queensland headquarters.
Amid a closer inspection, the ShowTime crew discovered not a lot wrong with the ‘FJ33’, but there was still minor improvements to be made by the mad men from Queensland.
Working with Kamikaze Fabrication, ShowTime added the 18-inch KMC wheels, custom Stedi light bar and front lip fitted with a Runva 13XP Winch, in addition to the interior modifications.
Catch the ‘FJ33’ at all the Repco Supercars Championship events this season alongside the rest of the fleet.
