Repco sets the New Zealand scene for famous Bathurst 1000

Repco has long been a part of Australasia’s ‘Great Race’, but 2021 will be its first as naming rights partner of the event.

Through every decade in the history of the Bathurst 1000 since the 1960s, Repco has been at The Great Race – whether supporting teams and drivers, or even supporting the event.

In 2021, Repco has taken over as the primary partner of both the Supercars Championship and the Repco Bathurst 1000, and as fans themselves they’re Bringin’ The Bathurst bigger than ever to fans across New Zealand and Australia.

As the excitement and noise starts to build towards the great race, Repco is making sure that fans of Supercars, motorsport and all things high octane are well catered for across New Zealand.

Repco is bringing racing coverage to 20 stores around New Zealand, making sure customers don’t miss a moment of live action from the mountain while they shop. Thanks to Sky Sport, customers are welcome to pop into selected Repco branches and enjoy live Bathurst 1000 action on screen from December 2 until the Great Race on Sunday, December 5.

For Repco, it starts with the parts, and over the Bathurst weekend, it can end with you watching the track action live in-store!

And taking it a step further, Repco customers at the New Lynn, Auckland branch will get the full experience. Visit the store to sample the Repco Garage Race Unit parked up with big-screen viewing before and after their shop, socially distanced, of course.

See below the list of stores that will feature the in-store live vision.

For more in-depth coverage, Repco is bringing Greg Murphy’s expert opinion to New Zealand with hourly blogs on Repco’s social platforms.

As we know, ‘Murph’ is the king of Kiwi motorsport, four times Bathurst champion and denied his chance at wildcard entry due to the border closures, New Zealand followers were geared up to see the champ back on track at the mountain. Instead fans be able to hear Murph’s exclusive insights of the race from his home to theirs as the drama unfolds.

But if the words of the four-time Bathurst 1000 winner aren’t enough for you, Repco is bringing you watch along coverage guaranteed to spice up the miles with the Alternative Commentary Collective.

Chuck on ya jandals and pluck her into first like Scotty McLaughlin, because the Alternative Commentary Collective is going to give the coverage some gas like you’ve never heard before! The ACC will have live watch-a-long coverage of The Great Race from 2pm on their YouTube and Facebook channels.

Ten categories of racing, six consecutive days of on track action and the most racing entrants ever seen on The Mountain for a racing weekend.

Before a wheel has been turned, the Repco Bathurst 1000 is a history maker …and Repco is Bringin’ The Bathurst to New Zealand like never before.
