The Repco Supercars Championship will enter a new era in 2025 featuring a calendar split into Sprint and Endurance Cups prior to the new Finals Series.
Repco will support the Sprint Cup, which represents the opening eight events of the season and is split across 25 races.
The inaugural Repco Sprint Cup Champion will be awarded to the best performer at the end of the opening eight rounds and will earn an automatic berth into the season-ending Finals Series.
In honour of this history making season, Supercars and Repco will present a bespoke perpetual trophy modelled on Australian motor racing legend Jack Brabham’s 1966 Formula 1 World Championship winning Repco V8-powered BT19.
The Repco Sprint Cup trophy will feature the winner’s name of each season etched onto the side of it, while the victor will receive a replica as a keepsake.
“The Repco Sprint Cup is all about flat-out racing and providing fans with thrilling, unpredictable competition,” said Supercars CEO Shane Howard.
“With a mix of circuits and action-packed sprint formats, fans will follow along closely before the Repco Sprint Cup Champion is crowned at Queensland Raceway in August.”
Repco executive General Manager of Marketing, Mitch Wiley believes the brand’s support displays its passion for motorsport.
“The crew at Repco across Australia and New Zealand can’t wait to see the new 2025 championship format come to life,” said Wiley.
“There is so much expectation on the Repco Sprint Cup to start the season, and we thrilled to extend our partnership even further into the sport our team and customers love”
The Repco Sprint Cup will be followed by the two-round Enduro Cup and the three-round Final Series ending at the VAILO Adelaide 500 in November.
