Repco the naming-rights sponsor for the 2024 Adelaide Motorsport Festival

Repco Australia will be the naming-rights sponsor of the 2024 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, held on March 15 to 17.

Repco is no stranger to Australian motorsport, sponsoring the Repco Supercars Championship, Repco Bathurst 1000 and Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.

As part of the naming-rights deal, the Repco Circuit Safari will feature at the 2024 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival. The Repco Circuit Safari will allow lucky guests and fans to be in a bus on track alongside a selection of race cars, enabling the passengers the once in a life-time experience of seeing and hearing iconic
sportscars, touring cars and more up close.

Repco celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022 and has played an important part in Australian motorsport history, contributing to Sir Jack Brabham’s Formula 1 world championship win in 1966 by building the V8 Repco engine that powered his Brabham BT 19.

The BT 19 appeared at the 2023 Adelaide Motorsport Festival, with Sir Jack Brabham’s son David Brabham and grandson Sam Brabham driving the car, the first time that two generations of Brabhams had driven the BT19 at the same event.

Adelaide Motorsport Festival CEO Tim Possingham states: “We are excited to have top-tier automotive brand Repco as our naming-rights holder to the event.

Repco is a perfect fit for the event as it shares a rich history in Australian motorsport and is also recognised globally for its involvement with the Repco Brabham cars that raced across the globe.”

Repco’s Head of Sponsorship Mitchell Wiley states: “The Adelaide Motorsport Festival has become a staple in the Australian motorsport calendar, offering a diverse mix of modern and historic motorsport on one of our great race tracks.

Repco is intrinsically linked to all spectrums of our rich motorsport history, and that makes this partnership a perfect match.”

Held the week prior to the Australian Grand Prix, the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival is a museum in motion, displaying historic, rare and significant racing vehicles on the Victoria Park section of the Adelaide Street Circuit.

Categories featuring Formula 1, V8 Supercars, Group C and A touring cars, sportscars and more will feature over the course of the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, in addition to on-track demonstrations, off-track displays, villas and more.
