Shell V-Power Racing Team lockout front-row for season finale

Anton De Pasquale has taken pole position for the final Repco Supercars Championship race of the season in Adelaide.

De Pasquale entered the Top 10 Shootout in second, but set a time of 1m 19.382s to top the session as the fastest qualifier Cameron Waters ended the session sixth leaving work to do in Race 34.

De Pasquale’s Shell V-Power Racing Team stablemate Will Davison led for much of the session on a 1m 19.5683, but was eclipsed by just 0.186s by the driver in the garage next door.

A stunning lap from Broc Feeney was the early benchmark and he will start third alongside his Repco Supercars Championship winning Red Bull Ampol Racing teammate Shane van Gisbergen.

Chaz Mostert was strong in the middle sector, but the last was weak and he’ll start this afternoon’s event in fifth for Mobil 1 Optus Racing alongside Waters.

Will Brown for Boost Mobile Racing by Erebus was seventh ahead of Andre Heimgartner’s R&J Batteries Brad Jones Racing entry.

Hometown driver Matt Stone Racing’s Todd Hazelwood will start ninth and David Reynolds completed the top 10 in his Penrite Racing Ford Mustang.

The final race of the current era as well as for Holden will begin at 2:45pm ACDT.
