The season of endurance is upon us

It’s Sandown week! The season of endurance has arrived and the Repco Supercars Championship circus heads to the Melbourne Metropolitan area for the traditional warm up to Bathurst.

There are many new pairings, however the reigning Penrite Oil Sandown 500 winners return in the form of Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney and Jamie Whincup.

On the other side of the garage, championship leader Will Brown is new to the team for 2025 and so is his co-driver Scott Pye after he parted ways with Team 18 at the end of last year.

The team with the momentum though heading entering the long distance races is Walkinshaw Andretti United as Chaz Mostert continues to make a charge towards his maiden title. Its unchanged line-up at the squad as Lee Holdsworth pairs with Mostert and rookie Ryan Wood is joined by fellow New Zealand, the experienced Fabian Coulthard.

Cameron Waters and James Moffat will continue to lead the Tockford Racing attack, while Tyler Everingham links up with Thomas Randle for Castrol Racing.

At Shell V-Power Racing Team, the soon to depart Anton De Pasquale will again pair with Tony D’Alberto, while one of the most experienced drivers on the grid, Will Davison will mentor one of the least in Super2 Series leader Kai Allen.

Penrite Racing was unlucky last year, but Matt Payne and Garth Tander are sure to be contenders, but Richie Stanaway is a a previous Sandown 500 winner as he’s joined by Dale Wood.

Matt Stone Racing has been the surprise packet of the season so far as Nick Percat is a dual winner in 2025, with Dylan O’Keeffe moving from PremiAir Racing to partner him. Long-time friends Cameron Hill and Cameron Crick form the ‘Twin-Cam’ combination in an entry backed by SP Tools.

Reigning championship winning team Erebus Motorsport has had a rough season, Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood form a strong partnership. Continuing their partnership from last year at Matt Stone Racing is Jack Le Brocq and Jayden Ojeda.

Team 18 easily have the most experienced partnerships as Mark Winterbottom again is partnered by Michael Caruso, while Warren Luff pairs with David Reynolds.

PremiAir Nulon Racing has recruited Super2 young gun Cameron McLead to join Tim Slade, while David Russell moves from Erebus to partner James Golding.

Plenty of change at Brad Jones Racing as Declan Fraser forms a front-running partnership with Andre Heimgartner, while Bryce Fullwood is joined by Jaclyn Robotham.

Jaxon Evans will use the experience of Dean Fiore, while Macauley Jones and Jordan Boys completed the BJR line-up.

Blanchard Racing Team’s enduro pairings are a bet each way on youth and experience. James Courtney reunited with Jack Perkins in the lead entry, while impressive rookie Aaron Cameron is paired with Aaron Love.

Two Chevrolet Wildcards complete the field, with Craig Lowndes and Cooper Murray in Triple Eight Race Engineering’s entry, while Matt Chahda provides Super2 rival Brad Vaughan his Supercars debut.
