Will Davison takes Race 16 pole

Shell V-Power Racing Team’s Will Davison has secured Sunday’s pole position for Race 16 of the Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Davison pipped Mobil 1 Optus Racing’s Chaz Mostert by 0.0007s to score his first pole position since 2022.

Nick Percat in the Bendix Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 led the Bow Tie Brigade in third alongside pacesetter leading into the Top 10 Shootout, Monster Castrol Racing driver Cameron Waters.

Anton De Pasquale continued Shell V-Power Racing Team’s great run in fifth to line-up alongside championship leader Will Brown in the first Red Bull Ampol Racing Chevrolet.

The fourth row of the grid is all PremiAir Nulon Racing courtesy of Tim Slade and James Golding.

Rookie Ryan Wood will line up ninth for Mobil 1 NTI Racing alongside the TRADIE Beer Chevrolet of David Reynolds after a last gasp lap placed him inside the Top 10 Shootout.

Penrite Racing’s Matt Payne, Mark Winterbottom, Brodie Kostecki and Cameron Hill were all just bumped out of the 10.

Others to line-up further back include Andre Heimgartner, title protagonist Broc Feeney, Thomas Randle, Jack Le Brocq and James Courtney.

Race 16 of the Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park will commence at 4:05pm AEST.
